Arrow

Arrow was my Easter present, well one of them. Arrow is a teeny little kitten and he is the most adorable kitten that I have ever seen in my life. Arrow is black and white and he has the full markings of an arrow on his back.

Arrow came to me at a time in my life when I was totally depressed. I have been having serious issues with my back and can barely walk because of it. Arrow being here has brought a smile to my face when I needed a smile the most.

When my husband first mentioned to me that we should get a kitten I said that I didn’t think it would be a good idea. We already had one cat and a dog and another cat that lives on our property, who technically wasn’t our cat, but one that we do look after and feed. I really didn’t want the responsibility of having a kitten at that point in my life. Kittens are a lot of work and I just wasn’t sure I’d be able to handle it.

The minute I took Arrow out of the carry-all that my husband brought him home in, there was no way I was giving him up and no way that he was going anywhere but straight into my arms. I fell in love instantly and I didn’t care about the extra work to look after him, I didn’t care at all. Arrow was mine and that was all I cared about.

I didn’t know until I had fallen in love with Arrow that he had a slight deformity. I had no idea that he had six toes on both his front paws until my husband mentioned it to me, while I was snuggling him close to me. I took a look at his paws and sure enough there were six toes on each of his front paws. His front paws look like he is wearing a baseball pitcher’s mitt. However, I didn’t care about that one bit. His little deformity didn’t bother me at all. In fact, I think I love him more because of his extra little toes.

Arrow was only six or eight weeks old. He is just a baby. He has the softest fur imaginable and he is so fluffy. Because Arrow is so young, he sleeps with me. He puts his head on my pillow right beside my cheek and pushes his little face right into my cheek. If he could put his head right into my cheek, he would.

Arrow loves to purr too. I remember one night, he purred so loud that he rattled. His whole body literally shook because of his purring. Even though his purring was keeping me awake, Arrow slept right through the night.

Arrow loves to eat. He just gobbles his food down and he does manage to get it all over him. However, Arrow cleans himself up afterwards, grooming himself for at least half an hour or more.

I love Arrow to pieces. He is so adorable and cuddly. I will take good care of him because I love him so much and nothing is ever going to come between me and Arrow. Nothing.

Moral of this Story:

  • Love your pet unconditionally.
  • Example: I love Arrow unconditionally and have since the day I first saw him.
