Billy Troll’s Halloween Concert
“Come on Billy,” said Dianne Troll, his wife. “It will be fun to dress up for Halloween.”
“I don’t think so,” said Billy Troll. “What will my fans think of me?”
“Billy,” said Dianne. “Your fans will love you dressed up or not.”
“That is my point,” said Billy. “I don’t feel I need to dress up for Halloween.”
“Fine,” said Dianne. “But it would make the concert that much more interesting and the Jagged Trolls are going to dress up.”
“I don’t care what the Jagged Trolls do,” said Billy.
“Now Billy,” said Dianne. “I thought Mick was your friend.”
“I wouldn’t exactly call him a friend,” said Billy. “He’s more like an annoyance.”
“I think I would even have to agree on that one,” said Dianne, thinking back to some of the pranks that Mick Troll has pulled on Billy.
“Speaking of Mick,” said Billy, looking out the window of his studio. “I think he just pulled up.”
Within a few minutes Billy, Dianne and Mick were all standing in the kitchen.
“So have you convinced him to dress up?” asked Mick to Dianne.
“No,” said Dianne. “He won’t budge.”
“You aren’t even going to dress up at all for Halloween,” said Mick.
“I never said I wouldn’t dress up for Halloween,” said Billy. “I just don’t want to be on stage in a Halloween costume.”
“Okay,” said Dianne. “Well that is understandable. So you are going to dress up after the concert then?”
“Yes,” said Billy. “I will.”
“Okay,” said Mick. “That is good then.”
Halloween night came and Billy was preparing for his concert. He had about a half an hour before he was to appear onstage. He was looking around his dressing room for his outfit for the concert.
“Dianne,” said Billy. “What happened to my outfit? All I have here is the Halloween costume.”
“Did you forget to pick it up at the cleaners?” asked Dianne.
“Yes,” said Billy, turning red-faced. “I completely forgot to pick it up.”
“Well you could always wear your Halloween costume,” said Dianne, laughing.
“I guess I am going to have to,” said Billy.
Billy dressed up as a cowboy for Halloween and when he appeared on stage the fans loved his costume.
“Maybe dressing up for Halloween isn’t so bad after all,” said Billy to Dianne after the concert that night.
Dianne smiled as she kissed and hugged her husband.
