Beatrice Bee Meets Lil’ Rebel

“Oh look!” exclaimed Lil’ Rebel, seeing a bee sitting on a picnic table. “There’s a bee I can torture.”

“Please don’t torture me,” said the bee. “I don’t think that would be very nice at all.”

“Well,” said Lil’ Rebel. “It is a hot summer day and I am very bored.”

“Don’t you have a hobby you can do instead?” asked the bee.

“I like to draw,” said Lil’ Rebel.

“Why don’t you draw a picture of me?” asked the bee.

“I guess I could do that,” said Lil’ Rebel.

‘Good,” said the bee.

Lil’ Rebel got out her pad of paper and pencil and started drawing.

“Wow!” exclaimed the bee. “That is a really good drawing. My name is Beatrice Bee.”

“I am Lil’ Rebel,” said Lil’ Rebel. “And you really think so?”

“Oh yes,” said Beatrice. “You have talent.”

“Nobody has ever said that to me before,” said Lil’ Rebel.

“They should,” said Beatrice.

“Thank you,” said Lil’ Rebel. “And I am sorry about wanting to torture you earlier.”

“You know,” said Beatrice.” You should try to channel that negative thinking into something positive, like your drawing.”

“You are right,” said Lil’ Rebel. “I should.”

“You are very good at it,” said Beatrice.

“Thank you,” said Let’ Rebel, drawing a tree she saw in the background.

“You are welcome,” said Beatrice. “It is always good to focus on the positive.”
