Oh, It’s Cold Again

“Billy why is it so cold in this house?” asked Dianne, after putting Baby Troll down for a nap. “It is freezing in here.”

“Have you gone outside yet today?” asked Billy.

“No,” said Dianne. “I was planning on going into town once the baby wakes up from his nap.”

“You will figure out why it is so cold in here once you step outside,” said Billy. “It is absolutely freezing outside today.”

“Oh dear!” exclaimed Dianne. “No wonder it is so cold in here then. We just got over a cold spell.”

“Well,” said Billy. “We are in another one.”

“I will be so glad when spring comes,” said Dianne. “This has been a brutal winter so far.”

“Yes,” said Billy. “I do agree. It has definitely been cold.”

Billy picked up his guitar and started strumming away.

“Go away cold, go away cold,” sang Billy. “Don’t come back. Go away cold. Go away cold. Stay away from me. Why is it so cold? Why is it so cold? I can’t wait for spring to come.”

“Very good,” clapped Dianne. “But that isn’t going to help warm me up.”

“If we danced it might,” said Billy, setting his guitar down and reaching for Dianne’s hand.

Billy and Dianne danced in the middle of their kitchen floor.

“You know,” said Dianne. “That did help. I am actually feeling warmer now.”

“I guess we are going to have to do a lot more dancing in the next few weeks,” said Billy.

Moral of this Story:

  • Singing and dancing are a good way to warm up.
  • Example: It was freezing cold outside so Billy thought it would be a good idea to dance with his wife to stay warm.
