Mountain Kid’s Winter Paradise

Mountain Kid woke up one bright winter day. He saw that there was a fresh layer of snow on the ground.

“It looks so beautiful outside,” said Mountain Kid, putting his jacket and boots on. “It looks clean and fresh with all that pure white snow.”

Mountain Kid opened his front door and stood on his front porch. He looked across the road and saw the snow-capped mountains. They were so beautiful. It was mesmerizing.

“Oh my!” exclaimed Mountain Kid, as he saw a bald eagle soaring above him.

The eagle landed on an old tree that was standing beside the bank of the river. Just off to the right of the tree with the eagle stood a white-tailed deer. It was dodging through the snow with its nose, trying to get at the grass and other vegetation.

Mountain Kid walked to his barn and looked up into the mountain. He saw a herd of mountain sheep playing on the snowy and slippery slopes. They were having so much fun. Mountain Kid smiled to himself. He was so happy.

“I live in paradise,” said Mountain Kid, happily. “A winter paradise!”
