Beatrice Bee’s Adventure with Autumn Elf

Adventure with Autumn Elf …

Beatrice Bee was flying around Storyland. It was a cool summer day, almost feeling a bit like summer was over and autumn was already here. Beatrice looked down at the trees and she saw that all the leaves on the trees were still green.

“That is good,” said Beatrice, landing below. “I thought autumn was here already.”

“And what is wrong with autumn?” asked a voice behind Beatrice.

Beatrice turned around and saw a man in the shape of an autumn leaf standing there.

“There is nothing wrong with autumn,” said Beatrice. “I just don’t want summer to end yet.”

“Well,” said the autumn leaf man, angrily. “Lucky for you, you still have a few weeks left of your precious summer.”

“Who are you?” asked Beatrice. “What do you have against summer?”

“My name is Autumn Elf,” said Autumn Elf. “I don’t have anything against summer. I just don’t like how people never want autumn to come. Autumn is a beautiful season. The cooler weather and the changing colour of the leaves. I love autumn.”

“Yes,” said Beatrice. “I agree that autumn is a beautiful season but we all know what happens when autumn is over. We get that nasty winter season. My name is Beatrice Bee, by the way.”

“It is nice to meet you,” said Autumn Elf. “Winter is the reason autumn gets a bad rap.”

“I can see why you were so upset at what I said,” said Beatrice.

“I can’t wait for autumn to come,” said Autumn Elf. “In fact, I am autumn.”

“Being Autumn Elf,” said Beatrice. “I suppose you are right.”

Moral of this Story:

  • We should enjoy the seasons instead of wishing them away.
  • Example: Beatrice Bee can’t wait until summer is over and the cooler days of autumn come.
