Beatrice Bee Sees Travelin’ Rick Again

Beatrice Bee had a lot of fun traveling around BC and meeting some very interesting Storyland characters. However, because of all the forest fires that are burning and the poor air quality, she felt that she should head back to Calgary, Alberta.

As she flew past the Calgary airport, Beatrice thought she saw a familiar face.

“Travelin’ Rick!” Beatrice called. “It’s me. Beatrice Bee.”

Travelin’ Rick looked all over. He couldn’t see anyone. He did see an airplane just about ready to land.

“Where are you?” asked Travelin’ Rick. “I don’t see you.”

“I am over here,” said Beatrice, waving her wings up and down.

Travelin’ Rick looked again. This time he did see her. He also saw that she was in danger of getting hit by the airplane that was trying to land.

“Look out!” screamed Travelin’ Rick. “That airplane is trying to land and it is going to hit you.”

Beatrice ducked just in time.

“That was a close call,” said Travelin’ Rick, when he saw that Beatrice landed safely on top of one of the suitcases he was carrying.

“I guess I should pay more attention to my surroundings,” said Beatrice. “I was so excited about seeing you.”

“It is nice to see you again,” said Travelin’ Rick. “I am glad that airplane didn’t run into you.”

“Me too,” said Beatrice.

“So,” said Travelin’ Rick. “I am assuming that you left BC early because of the fires.”

“Yes,” said Beatrice. “It is bad.”

“The air quality is pretty bad too,” said Travelin’ Rick. “It is bad here some days as well.”

“The smoke is pretty thick in areas,” said Beatrice. “So, are you just landing here or are you off on another adventure?”

“I am off on another adventure,” said Travelin’ Rick. “Heading east this time.”

“I am going to stay put for a little while,” said Beatrice.

“It was nice seeing you again,” said Travelin’ Rick. “Be safe and stay away from airplanes.”

“Good idea,” said Beatrice, waving good bye to her friend, Travelin’ Rick. “Have a safe flight!”
