Canada Moose

Canada Moose was walking through the forest on a bright summer morning. He is a very large animal and so, when he walks through the forest, he makes a lot of noise and he is very clumsy.

“You do make a lot of noise,” said a porcupine, who was sleeping in a nearby tree.

“Yes he does,” said a cougar, who was resting on a nearby rock.

“I am sorry,” said Canada Moose.  “I didn’t mean to wake you up.”

“I needed to get up anyway,” said the porcupine. “My name is Prickly Porcupine. What is your name?”

“Yes,” said the cougar. “What is your name? I am Cee Cee Cougar.”

“It is nice to meet you Prickly and Cee Cee,” said Canada Moose. “My name is Canada.”

“That isn’t your name,” said Cee Cee.

“Canada is the country we live in,” said Prickly.

“I know we live in Canada,” laughed Canada Moose. “Canada is my name, too!”

“It is nice to meet you Canada,” said Prickly.

“It sure is,” said Cee Cee.

“I would like to be your friend,” said Canada Moose.

“Sure,” said Prickly. “I would like that too.”

“It would be nice to have a big animal for a friend,” said Cee Cee. “Sure, I will be your friend.”

Moral of this Story:

  • It is good to have “big” friends.
  • Example: Cee Cee Cougar was happy to be friends with Canada Moose because of his size.
