A Colourful Easter

“Oh, we are certainly having a colourful Easter,” said E. Egg, looking at all the people walking by wearing bright pinks, purples, yellows and greens.

“Yes,” said E. Egg’s best friend, Jamie. “It is nice to see so many colours.”

“I am an Easter egg,” said E. Egg. “I look so dull and boring compared to everyone else. I would like to be colourful just like them.”

“You know,” said Jamie. “I would too. I have an idea. Stay here, I will be right back.”

While Jamie was gone, E. Egg looked around and marveled at the beautiful colours this Easter.

“No wonder I love Easter,” said E. Egg.

“It certainly is a beautiful time of year,” said Jamie, returning with a basket full of colourful yarns and ribbons.

Jamie cut lengths of different colours of ribbons. She weaved some brightly coloured yarn through it. She placed it around E. Egg’s neck. Then she made one for herself. Both she and E. Egg were much more colourful.

“This is wonderful,” said E. Egg. “Now, I feel so much more colourful.”

“I do as well,” said Jamie. “Happy Easter!”

“Happy Easter to you as well,” said E. Egg.

Moral of this Story:
