Frankie

Francis John Albert, or better known as Frankie, is a very cold, ruthless monster that lives on the streets of Cabbagetown in Toronto, Ontario. Frankie might look very scary with his green greyish face and long stringy hair but the truth is, he really isn’t all that scary at all.

Frankie turned into a monster when he was very young. He was involved with the wrong people and he got into some trouble. He ran from his responsibilities instead of owning up to what he had done and paying for his troubles.

One day, Frankie was walking along Cabbagetown and he decided he wanted to eat some breakfast. He carefully counted the money he had in his pocket and he knew he had just enough. He walked into the diner and despite the looks he got, he ordered his breakfast.

A very friendly waitress brought his breakfast to him. She smiled at Frankie and Frankie smiled back at her when she put the plate down in front of him.

“I knew you had a heart underneath that rugged exterior,” the waitress said to him as she poured his coffee.

“I do have a heart,” said Frankie to himself when the waitress had left him alone.

Frankie sat and thought about what the waitress had said to him. He was happy that someone actually saw the good in him. Frankie finished his breakfast and smiled to the waitress on his way out the door. The waitress smiled back at him.

Frankie never forgot the kind words of that waitress and he changed that day from a cold, ruthless monster into someone caring and happy.

Moral of this Story:

  • Frankie was happy that someone actually saw the good in him.
  • Example: Anna, the waitress at the diner, saw the good in Frankie and it changed him for the better.
