Victoria Day Picnic
“Hey Fawn,” called Spot from the kitchen. “Come quick.”
“Oh no!” cried Fawn, when he looked out the kitchen window and saw rain pouring down. “Now, what are we going to do?”
“Relax,” said Spot. “The rain hasn’t ruined everything.”
“What are you talking about?” asked Fawn, very discouraged. “How can we have a picnic in the rain?”
“We will have our picnic right here in the barn instead,” said Spot.
“That would work!” exclaimed Fawn, happily.
Spot went to the bedroom and grabbed a woolen blanket from the foot of her bed.
“Move the coffee table out of the way,” she said to Fawn as she laid the blanket over the living-room carpet.
Fawn quickly did as he was told.
“Okay,” said Spot. “Now all we need is the picnic basket.”
Fawn went into the kitchen and brought the picnic basket into the living-room and set it in the middle of the blanket.
“This is actually fun,” said Fawn, eating a piece of cold chicken and some potato salad.
“Yes,” said Spot. “It is.”
“Only thing missing is the ants,” laughed Fawn.
“Not really,” said Spot, pointing to an ant crawling along the living-room floor.
