Pray for Australia
Travelin’ Rick just landed at the airport in Sydney, Australia. He had heard about the wildfires in Australia and he felt he needed to do something to help. He volunteered to be part of the team of volunteer firefighters being sent from Canada to help.
Travelin’ Rick knew there was going to be devastation because of the fires burning but, he wasn’t prepared for what he actually saw. He saw homes burned to the ground, he saw firefighters injured, civilians injured and animals fighting for their survival.
In messages Travelin’ Rick sent to his family and friends through social media, he repeated these three simple words, “Pray for Australia” in every post, text message and tweet he sent out. Other phrases he repeated, were the words “Please help,” and “Send Money!”
Traveling Rick donated his own money to several different organizations to help the fires in Australia. He encourages everyone to do the same.
“Cash donations are the best,” said Travelin’ Rick. “That way people can get exactly what they need.”
Travelin’ Rick also found there are several organizations who are helping the sick and injured animals who have been affected by these fires.
He also wants you to remember these three simple words, “Pray for Australia”.
