Fawn’s Trouble

“Hi Spot,” said Fawn, first thing in the morning. “What are you doing?”

“Okay,” said Spot. “What are you up to?”

“What are you talking about?” asked Fawn. “I’m not up to anything.”

“Okay,” said Spot. “Then why are you up so early. It is only 7:00 am. You are never up this early.”

“But I couldn’t sleep,” said Fawn.

“I know you are up to something,” said Spot. “I just know it.”

Fawn went outside and saw Jayden Hansen standing outside waiting for her school bus.

“Hi Fawn,” said Jayden, waving to him. “Does she know anything?”

“She only thinks that I am up to something,” said Fawn.

“Okay,” said Jayden. “Keep it that way. She is going to be so surprised.”

“Yes,” said Fawn. “She is.”

“I’ll see you tonight,” said Jayden, getting onto the school bus.

“Everything will be ready,” said Fawn.

“Good,” said Jayden.

Fawn went back inside the barn and Spot was getting ready to go out.

“I’ll see you later,” said Spot. “I’m going to see Mrs. Duck now.”

“Okay,” said Fawn. “I’ll see you later.”

“Stay out of trouble today,” said Spot. “I know you are up to something.”

“I promise,” said Fawn.

Once Spot left, Fawn cleaned up the whole barn from top to bottom and then when Jayden came home from school they decorated it. Ricky and Mr. and Mrs. Hansen came over.

“Here she comes,” said Fawn, looking out the window of the barn. “Here comes Spot. Everyone hide.”

Spot came into the barn and was first shocked when she saw how clean the barn was and then she was shocked when everyone jumped up and yelled “surprise”.

“Happy Birthday,” said Fawn.

“See,” said Spot. “You were up to something.”
