The Girl in the Leprechaun Suit

It was St. Patrick’s Day. Annie Leprechaun was at the mall. She was meeting her father, Grand Old Leprechaun for lunch. This has been a special event her and her father do each St. Patrick’s Day.

Annie Leprechaun was completely dressed in green, from the hat on the top of her head to the sparkling green shoes on her feet.

“She must think she is a leprechaun,” Annie heard Stephen, a teen she went to school with, who was sitting at the table beside her.

“There is no such thing as a female leprechaun,” said Orville, another teen that Annie knew from school.

Annie Leprechaun stood up and went over to the table to talk to them.

“Just so you know,” said Annie Leprechaun. “I am a leprechaun. I happen to be the only female leprechaun in Storyland.”

“I don’t believe you,” said Stephen.

“If you are a leprechaun,” asked Orville. “Where is your pot of gold?”

Annie Leprechaun ignored the two teens. She sat back down and soon, her father, Grand Old Leprechaun, entered the restaurant. She caught a glimpse of the teens, staring at Grand Old Leprechaun as he bent down and gave Annie Leprechaun a kiss on her cheek.

“Good afternoon, Father,” said Annie Leprechaun.

“Good afternoon dear,” said Grand Old Leprechaun.

“You know,” said Stephen. “I did hear that Grand Old leprechaun did have one child, a girl. Do you suppose that is her?”

“I guess so,” said Orville.” We’d better apologize because we don’t want to have leprechauns angry with us.”

“We are sorry for teasing you,” said the teens to Annie Leprechaun. “We didn’t mean to tease you.”

“I accept your apology,” said Annie Leprechaun. “Here is a pot of gold for you, for being so kind.”

“Thank you,” said both Stephen and Orville. “There really is a female leprechaun!”

Moral of this Story:

  • Don’t tease anyone.
  • Example: Stephen and Orville teased Annie Leprechaun until they realized she was a real leprechaun. They did apologize to her.
