Ugly Sally and the Urge to Dance
“It is a warm day today,” said Ugly Sally to herself. “I think I will go to the park.”
It was nice and peaceful at the park. There was nobody there. Ugly Sally saw her favourite park bench. It was right beside a tall oak tree.
Ugly Sally sat on the bench. She was enjoying the peacefulness and for once she was able to relax. In fact, she was able to relax so much that a thought popped into her head.
“I just had a thought about getting up and doing a dance,” said Ugly Sally. “I think that would be fun.”
Ugly Sally didn’t know where the thought of dancing came from but she was happy about it. She got up from the bench, looked around and saw there was still nobody in the park so she started dancing.
“I love dancing,” said Ugly Sally. “It is so much fun.”
Ugly Sally swung her hips from side to side. She flung her arms in the air and she even stomped her feet.
“I am not a good dancer,” said Ugly Sally to herself. “But, who really cares. I am having fun and that is all that should matter.”
