Lucky Leprechaun and the Giant

“It is St. Patrick’s Day,” said Lucky Leprechaun to himself. “It is a beautiful day outside. I am going to go for a walk.”

Lucky Leprechaun went for a walk in the forest. He saw his friend, Hoppy Bunny, who was also going for a walk.

“Happy St. Patrick’s Day,” said Lucky.

“Same to you,” said Hoppy. “It is a beautiful day to go for a walk.”

“I agree,” said Lucky.

Lucky and Hoppy walked together. Lucky saw a huge footprint in the mud. He showed it to Hoppy.

“It looks like a giant’s footprint,” said Hoppy.

“I thought so too,” said Lucky. “If it is, that is not good. I have heard stories about how giants destroyed the world.”

“I heard the same stories,” said Hoppy.

“I do hope the giants are not back,” said Lucky.

“Me too,” said Hoppy.

Hoppy took a closer look at the footprint. He started laughing and showed Lucky a big clump of fur that he found in the middle of the footprint.

“This isn’t a footprint,” said Hoppy. “It is a paw print.”

“A paw print,” said Lucky. “Are you sure?”

“I am positive,” said Hoppy, seeing a bear standing behind Lucky. “It is a paw print from the bear that is standing right behind you.”

Lucky and Hoppy spotted a hole in the ground about ten feet away from them. They both ran as fast as they could and jumped into the hole. They waited there until the bear went away.

“I am glad the giants aren’t back,” said Lucky.

“Me too,” said Hoppy. “We will have to watch out for bears though.”

“Yes,” said Lucky. “We will.”

Moral of this Story:
