Sammy the Snowplough Driver – Character Insight
I created Sammy the Snowplough Driver as part of my Canadian Trades/Professions Character Challenge. Snowplough drivers play a very important part in keeping our roads and highways clear during our winter months in Canada.
Sammy loves his job, especially when the winter is long and the snow keeps falling. That’s when he gets to help the most and also earn some extra treats for his family. Sometimes, when there’s no snow, Sammy does other jobs, but he always comes back to his snowplough when the snowflakes start to dance in the sky.
Being a snowplough driver is very important. The roads can get slippery and hidden under the snow, but Sammy is always there to clear the way. He owns his big snowplough and takes very good care of it, just like he takes care of the roads.
Sammy is not just a snowplough driver; he’s a hero in his big, orange truck. He works even when the wind howls and the snow swirls, making sure everyone can go where they need to go. And when he’s not driving his snowplough, he’s at home with his wife, Sasha, and their three children, Jason, Johnny, and Amy, sharing stories of his snowy adventures. Everyone in town knows Sammy, and they all wave and smile when they see him and his snowplough coming down the street.
