Summer is Over

“Fawn,” said Spot. “Let’s go swimming today.”

“Okay,” said Fawn. “That sounds like fun.”

Spot went into the bedroom to get her bathing suit on and happened to glance at the calendar that was hanging on the wall in the hallway.

“Gee,” said Spot. “We aren’t going to have too many days left to go swimming this year.”

“What are you talking about?” asked Fawn.

“Well, do you realize that summer is almost over?” said Spot.

“Really?” asked Fawn. “But where did it go?”

“Well don’t forget that we just moved to BC at the beginning of the summer so that is probably why it seemed like it went so fast,” said Spot.

“That is true,” said Fawn. “I’m kind of looking forward to winter here. I’ve never seen snow in the mountains before.”

“I am too,” said Spot.

Fawn and Spot went swimming that day at their favourite swimming hole and that was the last day that they went swimming that summer. Summer flew by so fast and so quick for Fawn and Spot but they really had a wonderful summer and they enjoyed every minute of it.

Moral of this Story:

  • Summer goes by so quick and before we know it, summer is over.
  • Example: Spot realized summer is over when she looked at the calendar.
