Environment Bug and Keeping the Earth Clean

Once upon a time, in a beautiful green park, there was a little bug named Environment Bug. He had just finished cleaning up the park on Earth Day and was admiring how wonderful it looked.

“The park looks splendid,” thought Environment Bug to himself. “I’ve done a good job, if I may say so.”

Every day, not just on Earth Day, Environment Bug loved to pick up litter and trash wherever he went. It made him feel joyful, the Earth feel cared for, and it made people smile too.

“Hello,” a voice said to Environment Bug. “It sure is a lovely day.”

“Oh, Bad Teeth Bradley,” said Environment Bug, recognizing the creature. “It is a fine day here in the park.”

“It sure is,” agreed Bad Teeth Bradley, unwrapping candy after candy and letting the wrappers fall to the ground.

“Do you know today is Earth Day?” asked Environment Bug.

“Earth Day!” exclaimed Bad Teeth Bradley. “What is that?”

“It’s a day we take a good hard look at what we’re doing to our beautiful planet,” explained Environment Bug. “It’s a day to reflect on what we can do to keep our planet clean.”

Bad Teeth Bradley thought for a moment, then looked at his hands and saw the candy wrappers. He looked at the ground and saw the trail of wrappers he had left. He bent down, picked them all up, and disposed of them in the trash can.

“Thank you,” said Environment Bug. “Our Earth thanks you too.”

Bad Teeth Bradley decided to stick around and help Environment Bug clean up another park.

“Great job today,” said Environment Bug. “I’m proud of you!”

“I’m proud of you too,” said Bad Teeth Bradley. “You really do a great job keeping our planet clean.”

“Thank you,” said Environment Bug, bashfully.

And so, Environment Bug and Bad Teeth Bradley continued their work, making the world a cleaner place. They showed everyone that every day could be Earth Day, with a little care and teamwork.

Moral of this Story:

  • It isn’t a good idea to litter.
  • Example: Bad Teeth Bradley realized he shouldn’t have thrown his candy wrappers on the ground.
