Apartment 12 – Swat, Swat

Lost Christmas Tree continued his search for the apartment in the Christmas Building that he was supposed to be spending Christmas at. He saw the door to Apartment 12. He knocked on it.

“Oh hello,” said a cat wearing a blue hoodie. “Did my sister send you?”

“My name is Lost Christmas Tree,” said Lost Christmas Tree, watching the cat step out into the hallway, first looking up the hallway and then looking down the hallway. “I was wondering if you were waiting for a Christmas tree delivery.”

“My name is Arrow,” said the cat, stepping back into his apartment. “No, my sister has our Christmas tree. I wanted to lie down under it and wait for Santa to come but my sister went and swatted me.”

“That doesn’t sound like a very nice thing that your sister did,” said Lost Christmas Tree.

“It wasn’t,” said Arrow. “She can be quite mean sometimes.”

“I have an idea,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Why don’t you get your own Christmas tree? That way your sister won’t swat you.”

“Absolutely not!” exclaimed Arrow. “I love it when my sister swats me.”

Lost Christmas Tree shook his head and started laughing.

“Merry Christmas,” said Lost Christmas Tree, walking down the hallway.

“Merry Christmas to you too,” said Arrow.

Lost Christmas Tree knew Apartment 12 was not the apartment he was supposed to be spending Christmas at. He knew he still had to continue his search.
