Surprise for Fresh Veggies

“It sure is hot out here today,” said Christopher Corn, walking from the barn to the main house with Farmer Fred.

“Summer is almost over and we are still getting some good weather,” said Farmer Fred.

“So,” said Christopher. “Why are we going up to your house? We are in the middle of practice.”

“When I show you what is going on,” said Farmer Fred. “Then I think you will agree that practice can wait.”

Christopher was even more excited than he was before. He knew that for Farmer Fred to come down to the barn to pull him out of practice that whatever this was, it had to be important.

Christopher and Farmer Fred went into the kitchen and there, on the kitchen table was a cardboard box.

“What is this?” asked Christopher.

“Look inside it,” said Farmer Fred.

Christopher took a look inside the box and he couldn’t believe what he saw. The whole box was full of Loud Garden CD’s.

“Our first CD!” shouted Christopher, excitedly. “I can’t believe it. I am so excited.”

“Do you think this was worth cutting practice short for?” asked Farmer Fred, laughing.

“Yes,” said Christopher, smiling from ear to ear. “It certainly is!”

Moral of this Story:

  • Sometimes, it is okay to cut practice short.
  • Example: Farmer Fred had a surprise for Christopher Corn. Christopher Corn was worried that he had to cut his band practice short.
