Rainy Days in May
The month of May rolled around and Arrow knew the nice weather would soon be here. However, it seemed that this was going to be a very wet May and Arrow wasn’t very happy about that.
“Arrow,” said Mommy, seeing the sad look on his face. “I know this is a very wet and rainy May but it will soon be June.”
Arrow just wanted to be able to go outside and play in the grass and chase bugs. He was so sick of these rainy days in May.
Around the third week of May, it actually started to get nice outside. Arrow was so glad because he knew he would be able to outside soon. He went into Mommy’s bedroom, jumped up onto her dresser just to make sure his harness and leash were still there.
Arrow knew the only way he was going to get to go outside was if he had his leash and harness on. There were coyotes that lived in the mountains across the street and Mommy didn’t want anything bad to happen to him.
Mommy came into the bedroom and saw Arrow on her dresser. She put his harness on him and then his leash. Arrow was so happy that he was getting to go outside.
“It was nice and warm outside. The first thing Arrow did was roll around in the grass. It was pretty muddy out and he did end up getting mud all over himself. Mommy didn’t really care that he was muddy. Mud would wash off. She was just happy that Arrow was enjoying himself.
“Good thing you got to go outside yesterday,” said Mommy the next day. “It is raining outside again.”
Arrow was not happy about the rain but he was happy that he did get to go outside and play the day before.
