Prairie Kid

Hi everyone! My name is Prairie Kid. I am Mountain Kid’s youngest brother. I have two other brothers, City Kid and Fishing Kid. I also have one sister, Rancher Girl. I live out on the Canadian Prairies, in a province called Alberta.

There are three prairie provinces in Canada, with Alberta being the farthest west. Saskatchewan is to the east of Alberta and then, Manitoba is the furthest east.

Alberta is flat in places and it is also mountainous as it is home to the Rocky Mountains. It is good crop land. I grow wheat, barley and rye and also have several hundred cattle. I, like every other cattle rancher on the Canadian prairies are very happy that the United States are finally opening up their doors to our beef once more. I have just about gone broke over this mad cow disease. However, things are going to pick up for us Canadian farmers now.
