As Luck Would Have it
It was St. Patrick’s Day and Lucky Leprechaun was out enjoying the festivities with all the other leprechauns.
“Oh I love St. Patrick’s Day,” said Lucky Leprechaun, dancing up a storm in the middle of the street. “It’s not every day that we get to enjoy ourselves.”
“Speak for yourself,” said Mr. Peabody, a grumpy old man.
“Come on Mr. Peabody,” said Lucky Leprechaun, trying to coax Mr. Peabody into dancing with him. “Come have some fun.”
“I can’t,” said Mr. Peabody.
“You could if you really wanted to,” said Lucky Leprechaun.
“I told you I can’t,” said Mr. Peabody, angrily. “I have lost something very valuable and I need to find it.”
“Would it be this coin?” asked Lucky Leprechaun, taking a gold coin out of his pocket.
“Yes,” said Mr. Peabody, examining it. “That is my coin. Where did you get it?”
“I found it outside my building this morning,” said Lucky Leprechaun.
“Oh my!” cried Mr. Peabody. “I walked by there this morning. I must have dropped it there.”
“Now that you have it back,” said Lucky Leprechaun. “Come celebrate.”
Celebrate is exactly what Mr. Peabody did. He was so happy he had his coin back. He joined Lucky Leprechaun in dancing up a storm in the middle of the street with Lucky Leprechaun.
