A Sweet Valentine’s Day

Cord the Car Parts Salesman wanted to do something special for his wife, Candy the Pharmacy Cashier for Valentine’s Day. However, he knew Candy had to work that day.

“I know what I can do,” said Cord. “I will bring Valentine’s Day to Candy at her work.”

Cord packed up a picnic basket with some sandwiches and some baked goods. He stopped by the local florist and picked up a dozen red roses.

When Cord got to the pharmacy, Candy was just finishing up with a customer.

“Thank you, sir,” said Candy, and then without looking up, she spoke to whom the next person in line, not knowing it was her husband. “And, what can I do for you, sir?”

“Well,” said Cord, handing Candy the dozen roses. “You can accept these roses as a symbol of my love for you. I would also like for you to join me for a picnic lunch. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

“Oh my!” blushed Candy. “You really are the sweetest. I would love to have a picnic lunch with you.”

Candy finished with the rest of the customers in the lineup and then Cord took her by the hand and they had a beautiful picnic lunch together.

“This is the best Valentine’s Day ever,” said Candy, giving Cord a kiss on his cheek before returning to work. “Thank you!”

“You are welcome,” said Cord. “Happy Valentine’s Day!”
