Jayden – Christmas Story

“This is going to be so much fun,” said Jayden, arriving at the Christmas Building where she was to spend the Christmas holidays.

“It is nice to have you here,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “It will be fun. We have many activities planned. However, I am having a problem with Christmas this year.  I have Christmas gifts for all the residents of the Christmas Building but I don’t feel right handing them out. I feel Christmas is lost to me. I feel some Storyland characters don’t know what the meaning of Christmas is and haven’t done any good deeds this year. What does Christmas mean to you and what good deed have you done this past year?”

“Christmas, to me, means helping others,” said Jayden. “I love gardening and flowers. I have helped most of my neighbours with their gardening issues. As for a good deed, I looked after one of my neighbours’ garden while she was in the hospital. I weeded it, watered it and thinned it out in the places that it needed. I remember she was so thankful to me because she had forgotten all about her garden.”

“That really was a very nice thing you did for your neighbour,” said Lost Christmas Tree.

“Thank you,” said Jayden.

“Merry Christmas,” said Lost Christmas Tree, handing Jayden her Christmas present.”

“Merry Christmas to you too,” said Jayden.

Moral of this Story:

  • It is always good to help out your neighbours.
  • Example: Jayden helped out her neighbour with her garden when she was in the hospital.
