Rainbows and Gold

Lucky Leprechaun woke up on the morning of St. Patrick’s Day. He knew this was going to be a very lucky St. Patrick’s Day. He knew this because he had a feeling deep in his bones. He had a feeling he could not shake.

Lucky Leprechaun got dressed and he went outside. He looked up into the sky and he saw not one, not two, but three beautiful rainbows spanning the horizon.

“Oh I just knew this was going to be a lucky day,” said Lucky Leprechaun, squeezing his fists together and dancing his favourite jig.

“And what has gotten you so happy?” asked Grand Old Leprechaun, who was out for a morning stroll.

Lucky Leprechaun pointed up toward the sky.

“Well look at that,” said Grand Old Leprechaun smiling. “Three beautiful rainbows and on St. Patrick’s Day, of all days. And what lies at the end of rainbows for us leprechauns to collect?”

“Pots of gold!” shouted Lucky Leprechaun.

In a flash, Lucky Leprechaun went to the ends of the three rainbows. He collected three pots of gold.

“Not only is this a lucky St. Patrick’s Day,” said Lucky Leprechaun. “It is also a very profitable one.”
