Sunflower Suzie has Wilted Leaves

“What is going on?” screamed Sunflower Suzie. “What is happening to me?”

Sunflower Suzie had just woken up. She happened to catch her reflection in the mirror. She noticed that her leaves were starting to wilt.

“Sunflower Suzie,” said George, her husband, coming into the bedroom to see what was going on. “I heard you screaming. Are you okay?”

“No,” said Sunflower Suzie, with tears streaming down her face. “I’m not okay. Something is happening to me and I’m not sure what is going on. My leaves are starting to wilt.”

“You do know your leaves are wilting because it is part of Mother Nature,” said George, giving Sunflower Suzie a big hug.

“I don’t understand,” said Sunflower Suzie.

“Your leaves are going to wilt,” said George. “Don’t be alarmed but they are also going to fall off.”

“My leaves are going to fall off,” said Sunflower Suzie, alarmed.

“Yes,” said George. “But, you will grow new ones.”

“That doesn’t sound so bad,” said Sunflower Suzie, feeling much better about her situation.

“Mother Nature does work in mysterious ways,” said George.
