Lonely Scarecrow – Character Insight
Welcome to the Lonely Scarecrow – Character Insight page. Lonely Scarecrow lives on a fence post on Joshua and Penny’s farm which is located southeast of Calgary, Alberta. Lonely Scarecrow’s job is to keep the many crows that frequent the farm, away from the corn fields.
Lonely Scarecrow was the first scarecrow that Penny made and each day she saw him sitting on the fence post, he tugged at her heart strings because he looked so lonely.
Penny made a few more scarecrows so that Lonely Scarecrow wouldn’t be so lonely. She made Dallas, who sits on the fence post beside him. Then she made female scarecrows. Hazel became Scarecrow’s partner.
Pretty soon, Hazel and the other females became bored of the scarecrow life, so Penny made each of the female scarecrows a baby scarecrow. The scarecrows loved their life on Joshua’s and Penny’s farm. They were no longer lonely and they were no longer bored.
