“J” is for Joke

“It is April Fool’s Day,” said Alphabet Allie. “I am going to play a joke on my friend Jackie Jester. I am going to change the letters in his name. This will be fun.”

As Alphabet Allie walked to Jackie Jester’s house, she had to jump over some puddles because it had just rained.

“Hi Lackie Lester,” said Alphabet Allie when she saw her friend jeering at her from his front door.

“Hi Lalphabet Lallie,” jostled Jackie Jester. “April Fool’s!”

” Oh you!” laughed Alphabet Allie , with a jolly laugh. “You caught me in my own joke!”

“That is why I am known as a jokester,” Jackie laughed.

Alphabet Allie playfully jabbed Jackie in his arm.

Jackie and Alphabet Allie merrily danced a jig.

“My mother made fresh jam cookies,” said Jackie, watching his mother juggle a tray of goodies for the children.

“Would you like some?” asked Jester.

“I would love some,” said Alphabet Allie.

The two friends enjoyed their snack. They had a great afternoon together and Jackie ‘s mother even joined them.
