Tabitha’s Birthday Visit

Hi! My name is Tabitha Unicorn. I am a very special and magical unicorn. I visit all my friends on each of their birthdays and I bring them special gifts.

One of my friends, Jennifer, was born in 1987 in Oshawa, Ontario. On that day, I went to visit her and I brought her a very special gift. The gift that I gave her was love.

“Jennifer, take this gift that I have given you and use it wisely,” I whispered into her ear. “Love is a very important part of your life. Love your parents and others, like I know that they will love you. I will bring you your second gift on your first birthday. Goodbye for now.”

It is Jennifer’s first birthday today. It is time for me to take my second gift to her. The gift that I have chosen to give to her is peace.

“Jennifer, take this gift that I have given you today and use it wisely,” I whispered to her. “Peace is a very important part of your life. Having peace in your life will ensure that you will have happy relations with your family members and other people during your lifetime.”

“Thank you, Tabitha,” said Jennifer. “Thank you for the special gift that you have given me.”

Today is Jennifer’s second birthday. I am prepared to take my third gift to her. The gift that I have chosen to give to her is happiness.

“Jennifer, take this gift that I have given you today and use it wisely,” I whispered to her. “Happiness is a very important part of your life. Without happiness, life would be very dull.”

“Thank you, Tabitha,” said Jennifer, smiling. “Thank you for the special gift that you have given me.”

Another whole year has passed by since I last visited my friend, Jennifer. This year, my special gift to her on her third birthday, is trust.

“Jennifer, take this gift that I have given you today and use it wisely,” I whispered to her. “Trust, is a very important part of your life. You must learn to trust others as they must learn to trust you.”

“Thank you, Tabitha,” said Jennifer. “I will use my gift wisely.”

Jennifer is turning four years old today, which means that she will soon be starting school. I feel that it is fitting to give her the gift of friendship for her fourth birthday.

“Jennifer, take this gift that I have given you today and use it wisely,” I said to her, when I visited her. “Friendship is a very important part of your life, especially now that you will be starting school soon. At school, you will meet all kinds of new friends and you must learn to treat your friends with respect as you will want them to treat you with the same.”

“Thank you, Tabitha,” said Jennifer. “I promise that I will use this gift wisely.”

Today, I will visit with Jennifer today. She is five years old today. The gift that I have chosen for her today is sweet dreams.

“Jennifer, take this gift that I have given you today and use it wisely,” I said to her, when I saw her. “Make all your dreams sweet and turn any nightmares or bad dreams into sweet dreams with this gift.”

“Thank you, Tabitha,” said Jennifer. “This is a very important gift and I will use it wisely.”
