Magical Thanksgiving
Thankful Thomas woke up very early on Thanksgiving morning. It was a crisp morning but a beautiful one. Not only was it Thanksgiving, it was also his 60th wedding anniversary to his high-school sweetheart, Dorothy.
“Oh my!” exclaimed Dorothy, when Thankful Thomas brought her breakfast in bed. “Thank you so much!”
“Happy 60th Anniversary,” said Thankful Thomas, giving Dorothy a kiss on her cheek.
Dorothy ate her breakfast and was surprised to see a dozen rosses waiting for her in the kitchen as well as an anniversary card with a note inside stating that Thankful Thomas had arranged to get them reservations to their favourite restaurant for dinner.
“How did you manage to get the reservations?” asked Dorothy, thrilled. “It is Thanksgiving, after all. Were they not busy?”
“I have had these for a year now,” said Thankful Thomas.
“It is no wonder I am so thankful for you,” said Dorothy, wiping a tear from her eye. “You never seem to stop amazing me.”
Thankful Thomas and Dorothy went for a walk in the park that afternoon, both reminiscing about all the joy and happiness they have shared together.
“This was an amazing day,” said Dorothy, while they enjoyed dinner.
“It certainly was,” said Thankful Thomas, getting down on his knees in the middle of the restaurant and taking a beautiful diamond ring out of his pocket. “Dorothy, will you marry me again?”
“Absolutely!” cried Dorothy. “This is the most magical Thanksgiving ever!”
“It certainly is,” said Thankful Thomas.
