Apartment 18 – A Constructive Christmas

Lost Christmas Tree walked down the hallway in the Christmas Building. He was still searching for the apartment he is supposed to spend Christmas at. He saw the door for Apartment 18 so he knocked on it.

“The door is open,” Lost Christmas Tree heard a tiny voice say.

Lost Christmas Tree entered the apartment. He didn’t see anyone there. However, he did see a large red tool box in the living room, under a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

“I am Lost Christmas Tree,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I don’t know where you are but I came to ask if you are looking for a Christmas tree delivery?”

“Oh,” a silver coloured nail said, standing in the hallway. “You are a Christmas Tree! I am Mr. Nailhead. I was invited to the Christmas Building for Christmas because I was an important aspect in the construction of this building. I was the last nail they nailed in. My owner, Mr. Rodgers just took me out today.”

“I am so honoured to meet you,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “A real live nail! I had no idea nails were real.”

“As far as I know I am the only real nail there is,” said Mr. Nailhead. “I am made from a very expensive type of steel. Mr. Rodgers uses me in special construction projects only.”

“The Christmas Building is a beautiful building,” said Lost Christmas Tree.

“Thank you,” said Mr. Nailhead.

“I do see you already have a Christmas tree,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “It is beautiful.”

“You are a beautiful Christmas Tree as well,” said Mr. Nailhead.

“Thank you,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Merry Christmas!”

“Merry Christmas to you as well,” said Mr. Nailhead.

Lost Christmas Tree left Apartment 18 and continued with his search to find out which apartment he is supposed to spend Christmas at.

Moral of this Story:

  • It is good not to tease anyone.
  • Example: Mr. Nailhead did not tease Lost Christmas Tree for being a Christmas tree and Lost Christmas Tree did not tease Mr. Nailhead for being a nail.
