Billy Troll’s New Bee Song

Billy Troll was in his music studio. He was working on his new album. It was a very hot summer day so he had the window open in hopes of getting a breeze.

As he was getting ready to listen to the recording he had just finished, he saw a bee land on his sheet music. Billy picked up a newspaper, rolled it up and was going to swat the bee.

“Please don’t swat at me,” cried the bee. “I was flying around Storyland and I heard you singing. I just wanted to get closer to you so I can hear your music better.”

“I am sorry for almost swatting you,” said Billy. “I have always been afraid of getting stung.”

“I promise that I would never sting you,” said the bee. “By the way, my name is Beatrice Bee.”

“My name is Billy Troll,” said Billy. “It is nice to meet you.”

“You are the Billy Troll,” said Beatrice, excitedly.

“The one and only,” said Billy. “You have heard of me?”

“Heard of you,” laughed Beatrice. “I have listened to your music for years.”

“That is nice to know,” said Billy. “So, Beatrice, what do you think of my new album? You are the very first one to hear it.”

“I love it!” exclaimed Beatrice.

Billy picked up his guitar. He started singing a brand new song that just popped into his head.

“Beatrice Bee,” sang Billy. “Please don’t sting, while I sing, this new song to you, about a friendship that grew.”

“I love it!” cried Beatrice. “I can’t believe you just wrote that song about me.”

“I hope you enjoy it,” said Billy. “I think I am going to put it on my new album.”

“Sweet,” said Beatrice, happily.

Billy and Beatrice became the best of friends. Beatrice became the main focus of some of his songs.
