Grampy decided that he wanted to go trick-or-treating this Halloween. He hadn’t been trick-or-treating in years and he kind of missed it. Grampy also wanted to dress up his little green car and take it with him.
Grampy loved car racing and that gave him an idea. He decided that he would dress up in a car racing costume. He also added some racing stripes to his little green car. Grampy was very proud of his little green car and he had every right to be. His little green car looked totally cool with it’s racing stripes.
Grampy took his little green car for a drive on Halloween night. He went to a very busy street and being very careful not to hurt any children, he parked his little green car and got out. Grampy went door-to-door trick-or-treating. He had a lot of fun and he also got a lot of candy.
Grampy got back to his little green car. He noticed some teens hanging around it and he felt a little nervous.
“Hey Gramps!” laughed the teens. “Cool car!”
“Thank you,” said Grampy, fumbling with his keys.
“You aren’t nervous?” asked one of the teens. “Are you?”
“No, not really,” said Grampy, finally getting the car door to open.
“I bet this car can go pretty fast,” said the teen, pointing to his car, which happened to be a really nice looking Mustang. “Want to race?”
Quickly, Grampy started the little green car and pulled away. Grampy knew that he did not step heavy on the gas pedal. However, the little green car peeled rubber as it drove away.
“Good car,” said Grampy smiling, patting the little green car on the dashboard. “Good car!”
