Apartment 4 – Repainted
Lost Christmas Tree continued his search in the Christmas Building for the apartment he is supposed to be spending Christmas at. He saw Apartment 4 so he knocked on the door. He knocked again after a few minutes. Nobody answered.
“I guess this apartment isn’t the one I am supposed to be spending Christmas at,” said Lost Christmas Tree.
“Can I help you with something?” asked a man wearing overalls and carrying a paint brush.
“Do you live here?” asked Lost Christmas Tree, as he saw the man take a key out of his pocket and open the door to Apartment 4.
“No,” said the man. “I don’t. I am just here to repaint the walls.”
“Oh,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Then I guess I have the wrong apartment.”
“I am sorry,” said the man.
“I will keep looking,” said Lost Christmas Tree.
“Good luck,” said the man.
“Thank you,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas to you as well,” said the man.
Lost Christmas Tree was disappointed. He still hadn’t found the apartment he is supposed to be spending Christmas at.
“I will just keep going,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I’m not going to give up.”
