Neon Cop Went for a Swim
“What a beautiful summer day!” exclaimed Neon Cop to himself. “I am lucky that I get to patrol the beach today.” It would be nice to go for a swim.”
Neon Cop knew it wasn’t all fun and games being on the beach. He knew he was there to look for anything suspicious.
The police had gotten an anonymous tip that someone was going to be dropping off a lot of cash in exchange for drugs.
As Neon Cop walked along the beach, he spotted a suitcase sitting right along the edge of the water.
“I have a feeling that may be the suspicious item we are looking for,” thought Neon Cop. “That suitcase may have the drug money in it.”
Neon Cop stood back into the crowd at the beach. It was hard for him to mingle with the crowd because he stood out like a sore thumb with his florescent shorts, top and running shoes. He stood with the crowd anyway, keeping one eye glued to the suitcase.
It wasn’t long before Neon Cop saw a man dressed in a three piece suit approach the suitcase.
“At least I’m not the only one that stands out in the crowd,” laughed Neon Cop. “Who wears a suit to the beach?”
Neon Cop saw the man carefully looking around to see if anyone was watching him. He saw the man reach down for the suitcase.
Neon Cop ran as fast as he could toward the man and just as the man was going to walk away with the suitcase, Neon Cop pushed him into the water.
“Nice day for a swim,” said Neon Cop, soaking wet. “You are under arrest.”
Neon Cop called for backup and when they came to take the man into custody, he decided he would go for a real swim. The water was so nice and cool.
“I love my job,” said Neon Cop, getting out of the water, feeling very refreshed.
