Sammy Spider

Sammy Spider was busy weaving his spider web. He needed to catch some bugs so that he would have something to eat.

“I hope I catch a lot of bugs with this web,” said Sammy Spider to himself. “The last web I made was ruined by a cat who thought my web was a play toy.”

Sammy Spider was very busy with his web. In fact, he was so busy that he didn’t pay any attention to the calendar. He didn’t realize that it was already half-way through autumn. One day, however, it did appear to be a lot colder than Sammy Spider was expecting.

“What is going on?” asked Sammy Spider, while he continued weaving his web. “It sure has gotten cold all of a sudden.”

Sammy Spider happened to glance over at the calendar on the wall. He couldn’t believe what he saw.

“Oh my!” exclaimed Sammy Spider. “How can it be halfway through autumn already? No wonder it is so cold. I guess I have been working on this web much longer than I thought.”

Sammy Spider started to panic. He knew he had a much bigger problem to solve and he knew he didn’t have much time to solve it. Sammy Spider had to find himself a place to stay for the upcoming winter months. Sammy Spider knew he was going to be very busy over the next few days.

Moral of this Story:

  • It is always good to be aware of the date.
  • Example: Sammy Spider wasn’t aware that it was already half-way through autumn.
