Easter Lily Saves Easter

“I am so excited,” said Renee Chickadee. “It is almost Easter morning.”

“Me too,” said Easter Lily. “I love Easter.”

“I am going to fly through the garden one last time,” said Renee.

“Good idea,” said Easter Lily. “We want to make sure there are no sad people in the garden. Otherwise, we will never be able to have a happy Easter.”

Renee flew away. Easter Lily sat and thought about Easter and how excited she was. There were several people that had visited the garden in the past few days who were sad. She had made sure that all those people were happy.

Easter Lily was just about to go to bed for the night but she felt something wasn’t right. She felt that there was still someone in the garden that was sad.

Easter Lily found Renee, who had just returned.

“I didn’t see anyone in the garden,” said Renee. “It is pretty dark outside though.”

“I need to check the garden one more time,” said Easter Lily.

“I will come with you,” said Renee.

Easter Lily walked though the garden. Renee flew close to her.

“Oh look,” said Easter Lily, pointing to a tree on top of the hill. “There is a man sitting under the tree.”

“Yes,” said Renee. “I see him.”

“Sir,” said Easter Lily, when she approached him. “My name is Easter Lily. This is my friend, Renee Chickadee. We are here to make sure that everyone in the garden is happy, otherwise we will not be able to have a Happy Easter. Are you happy?”

“My name is Sam,” said the man. “And, no, I am not happy.”

“What is the matter?” asked Easter Lily.

“I lost my wallet,” said Sam. “All my identification, credit cards and cash were in it.”

“Oh dear,” said Easter Lily. “Where did you lose it?”

“I lost it here,” said Sam. “In the garden.”

“We will help you search for it,” said Easter Lily.

“It is dark out now,” said Sam. “I can look for it in the morning.”

“We have to find it now,” said Easter Lily. “It will be too late in the morning. I need to make sure you are happy before Easter morning.”

Renee immediately started searching for Sam’s wallet. She could see something bright in the dark. She went over to it and she saw that it was the clasp on the wallet. She landed on the ground and grabbed the wallet in her feet. She took it over to Sam.

“I want to thank you so much,” said Sam, smiling.

“Just seeing you smile is thanks enough,” said Renee.

“Now we can have a happy Easter,” said Easter Lily.

“Absolutely,” said Sam. “Happy Easter to both you and Renee.”
