Lucky Leprechaun Finds the Missing Gold

“Grand Old Leprechaun,” said Lucky Leprechaun, when he saw the upset look on his friends face. “What is wrong?”

“The St. Patrick’s Day pots of gold are missing,” said Grand Old Leprechaun. “I am so upset. I must find them.”

“When did you last see them?” asked Lucky.

“This morning,” said Grand Old Leprechaun. “I was loading them into the truck.”

“I will look for them,” said Lucky.

“Thank you,” said Grand Old Leprechaun. “Please hurry though. I need them by noon for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration.”

“Oh dear,” said Lucky Leprechaun. “That is only two hours away. I am going to have to hurry!”

Lucky went to Grand Old Leprechaun’s driveway. He saw a few pieces of gold laying on the gravel. He also saw some footprints leading to Grand Old Leprechaun’s garage. He opened the garage door. There, in the middle of the garage were the missing pots of gold.

Lucky called Grand Old Leprechaun on the phone.

“I found the missing gold,” said Lucky. “It is in the middle of your garage. Are you sure it was missing?”

“To tell you the truth,” said Grand Old Leprechaun. “This was just a test to see if you could figure out what happened.”

“Or,” laughed Lucky. “Was this just a way for you to get me to load the pots of gold into the truck?”

“Would you mind doing that?” asked Grand Old Leprechaun.

“Of course not,” laughed Lucky.
