Frozen Sprinkles

Sprinkles was playing in her bedroom. She happened to look out her bedroom window and she noticed the sun was shining. She decided that she wanted to go outside and play.

Sprinkles dressed warm because it was winter and even though the sun was shining, it was pretty cold outside.

Despite the cold, Sprinkles thought it would be a good idea to build a snowman.

“Sprinkles,” said her friend, Chelsea, who had just come outside as well. “That looks like fun. Do you want some help?”

“Sure,” said Sprinkles. “I could use some help.”

Sprinkles and Chelsea built a huge snowman. They used two large stones for the eyes and a carrot for his nose.

“He needs some sprinkles for his hair,” said Chelsea.

“Stand back,” said Sprinkles.

Sprinkles shook her head. Sprinkles flew from her head and landed on the head of the snowman. They stuck right to his head.

“I love how you have sprinkles for your hair,” said Chelsea, admiring her friend.

“Thank you,” said Sprinkles. “I am just glad they grow back in quickly.”

Sprinkles had a rare disorder of having sprinkles for hair. They are the sweet tasting sprinkles that are used for decorating cakes, cupcakes and cookies. All she has to do is shake her head and the sprinkles fall off. The grow back in within minutes.

“My head would be frozen if they didn’t grow back in,” said Sprinkles.

Sprinkles and Chelsea stayed outside playing in the snow for quite sometime. Chelsea noticed that Sprinkles looked very cold.

“We should go inside now,” said Chelsea. “You look frozen.”

“Frozen sprinkles,” laughed Sprinkles. “My frozen sprinkles would be good on ice-cream.”

“Oh,” said Chelsea. “How about some hot chocolate with some frozen sprinkles on top?”

“Now,” said Sprinkles. “That does sound good.”
