Rancher Girl – Christmas Story

“Thank you for coming to the Christmas Building,” said Lost Christmas Tree, seeing Rancher Girl walking toward him.

“This is going to be great!” exclaimed Rancher Girl. “I haven’t had a holiday in so long. The ranch requires my full attention 7 days a week, 365 days a year.”

“Yes,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I would imagine it does. I am having a problem with Christmas this year. I feel Christmas is lost to me. I have gifts for all the residents in the Christmas Building but I don’t feel right handing them out. I feel that some of the Storyland characters don’t know the meaning of Christmas and have not done any good deeds this past year. What does Christmas mean to you and what good deed have you done?”

“Christmas, to me, is all about donating either my time or money to help out others less fortunate. I started out by cooking breakfast on Christmas morning for my ranch hands and their families to show my appreciation for all the hard work they have done. What I have started doing is adopting a family in need each Christmas morning and they join us for our breakfast and then instead of giving gifts to each other, we give the gifts to the family. The look on their faces, especially the children, makes it all worthwhile.”

“That is such an amazing thing you do,” said Lost Christmas Tree, handing Rancher Girl her Christmas gift, while wiping tears from his eyes. “Merry Christmas!”

“Thank you,” said Rancher Girl. “Merry Christmas to you too!”
