A Slushy Winter Day

“Thank you for the lovely dinner,” said Mr. Winter. “I am in a very good mood right now.”

“I am glad,” said Mr. Winter’s girlfriend, Victoria. “It was a very nice dinner.”

“I think I am going to have some fun with winter,” said Mr. Winter.

“What kind of fun?” asked Victoria, who was a little bit skeptical.

“You will see,” said Mr. Winter.

“That is what I am afraid of,” said Victoria.

Mr. Winter is in charge of winter weather. When he is in a good mood, he will make the weather warm and when he is in a bad mood, he will make the weather miserable for everyone.

Mr. Winter went over to where the thermostat was. He turned it up very high and then about fifteen minutes later, he would drop it down to below freezing. He kept repeating this over the next few hours.

“Mr. Winter,” said Victoria, when she noticed big puddles of slush everywhere. “Do you see what you have created?”

Mr. Winter stopped playing with the thermostat and took a look around him. He was shocked when he saw the big puddles of slush.

“Oh dear,” said Mr. Winter. “I just wanted to have some fun. I didn’t realize I was creating slush.”

“Just turn the thermometer to freezing and the slush will freeze up,” said Victoria.

“Good idea,” said Mr. Winter, giving Victoria a kiss. “Thank you!”

Mr. Winter froze the slush and decided not to try that again.

Moral of this Story:

  • Example: Mr. Winter didn’t consider the consequences of his actions when he decided to have fun with winter.
