Apartment 3 – 2019 Resolution for Billy Troll

Hop Out and Hop In were honoured when Billy Troll showed up at the New Year’s Building as one of their guests. Billy Troll is a famed Storyland rock star.

“We know you have a busy schedule,” said Hop Out. “Thank you for coming.”

“I wouldn’t miss this for the world,” said Billy.

“Great,” said Hop In.

“We want to help you hop out of 2018 and hop in to 2019 smoothly,” said Hop Out. “What stands in your way from hopping out of 2018 smoothly?”

“I think juggling my time between my career as a rock star and spending time at home with my wife and kids,” said Billy.

“I can definitely see that as a problem,” said Hop Out.

“My fans want me to produce more music,” said Billy. “Dianne and the kids want me home more.”

“So,” said Hop Out. “What do you want?”

“I would like to accomplish more of both,” said Billy. “There has to be a better way to balance both.”

“You know,” said Hop Out. “I have seen several of your concerts this year. I notice you tend to hold your concerts in the smaller venues.”

“Yes,” said Billy. “I feel I connect with my fans on a more personal level.”

“That is a good point,” said Hop In. “But what if you were to hold your concerts in bigger venues. “You would reach more people and you could have fewer concerts each year.”

“Interesting thought,” said Billy. “With fewer concerts, that will leave me with more time for my family.”

“Would you say that your resolution for 2019 would be to spend more time with your family?” asked Hop In.

“Yes,” said Billy. “That is my resolution.”

“I think we have hit on a solution to your problem,” said Hop In. “What do you think?”

“I agree,” said Billy. “I know Dianne will love the idea.”

“I believe you are ready to hop out of 2018,” said Hop Out.

“I think so as well,” said Hop In. “And, I think you are ready to hop in to 2019 smoothly.”

“That is great to hear,” said Billy. “Happy New Year!”

Moral of this Story:

  • There are better ways to juggle your career and your family.
  • Example: Hop Out and Hop In suggested Billy Troll hold his concerts in bigger venues. This way he could reach more people, hold fewer concerts and spend more time with his family.
