Apartment 2 – Vacant

Lost Christmas Tree decided he would check to see if Apartment 2 of the Christmas Building is supposed to be where he is going to spend Christmas. He went to the door but there was nobody there. He found the building manager and he asked him if anyone lived in Apartment 2. The building manager informed Lost Christmas Tree that Apartment 2 was vacant.

“Why do you ask about Apartment 2?” asked the building manager. “Do you wish to move into it?”

“No,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I am trying to find out which apartment in the Christmas Building is the apartment I am supposed to be spending Christmas at.”

“I see,” said the building manager. “Unfortunately, Apartment 2 has been vacant for quite some time.”

“I appreciate your time,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I am sure I will find it soon.”

“Merry Christmas,” said the building manager.

“Merry Christmas to you as well,” said Lost Christmas Tree.

Lost Christmas Tree was disappointed. However, he did not give up hope. He knew he would just have to continue with his search.
