Missy Big Words – Celebration

“I will be closing the garage for the Christmas holiday celebration,” said Daddy to a customer on the phone.

Missy Big Words just walked into the garage with her best friend, Suzie.

“Hello girls,” said Daddy.

“I just learned a new big word,” said Missy Big Words.

“And, what is the word that you just learned?” asked Daddy.

“Celebration,” said Missy Big Words. “I even know what it means.”

“What does it mean?” asked Daddy.

“It means to have fun and enjoy a special holiday or event,” said Missy Big Words.

“You are so smart,” said Daddy proudly.

“So,” said Missy Big Words. “Can I invite Suzie to our Christmas holiday celebration?”

“Absolutely,” said Daddy.

“Oh thank you,” said Suzie. “This will be such a fun celebration.”

“Yes,” said Daddy. “It sure will be.”

Missy Big Words, Suzie and Daddy planned their Christmas celebration. They were going to decorate a Christmas tree and cook the biggest turkey they could find. Daddy invited all of his customers to the celebration.

“This will be the best Christmas celebration ever,” said Missy Big Words.

“Yes it will,” agreed Daddy.

He was thinking about hiring a Santa Claus and giving out presents to all the guests. He didn’t say anything to the girls about it because he wanted it to be a surprise.

The Christmas holiday celebration was a huge success and the girls and guests loved that fact that Daddy hired Santa Claus to give out the gifts.

“That was great!” exclaimed Missy Big Words. “I love the Santa. You had a great idea there, Daddy.”

“Thank you,” said Daddy. “I am glad you girls liked it.”

“We did,” said Suzie. “Very much so. Thank you for inviting me. I had a great time at the Christmas holiday celebration.”

“You are welcome,” said Missy Big Words.

“Merry Christmas,” said Daddy.
