Ugly Sweater Contest

“Oh my!” laughed Ugly Sally’s best friend, Julia, seeing the sweater Ugly Sally was wearing. “You can’t wear that sweater. It is the ugliest sweater I have ever seen.”

“I happen to like it,” said Ugly Sally. “I am going to wear it.”

The sweater Ugly Sally was wearing was an olive green in colour. It had specks of bright yellow and orange all through it. It truly was ugly.

“You should enter it in the ugly sweater contest,” said Julie. “The prize is $500.”

“I think I will,” said Ugly Sally.

Ugly Sally took a selfie of herself in the ugly sweater and then submitted it to the contest. A week later, Ugly Sally was surprised to see a reporter at her door with a cheque for $500.

“I don’t think I will ever laugh at another ugly sweater,” said Julie.

“I have a whole closet full of them,” said Ugly Sally. “I think I will wear them more often.”

“Can I borrow one?” asked Julie.

Moral of this Story:
