Cranky Bunny and his Handsome Easter Suit

“Oh no!” shouted cranky Bunny in his usual cranky voice. “I can’t find it. I can’t find it anywhere. I have looked everywhere for it.”

“I see you are cranky again,” said Mother. “What are you looking for?”

“I am looking for my Easter suit,” said Cranky Bunny.

“I don’t have time to look for it right now,” said Mother. “But look, Julie is walking up the walkway. I am sure she will help you look for it.”

Cranky Bunny’s best friend, Julie, took one look at Cranky Bunny’s face when she walked into the house and knew right away that he was cranky.

“Why are you cranky?” asked Julie.

“He can’t find his Easter suit,” explained Mother. “I have to leave for work. Would you be a dear and help him look for it?”

“I could do that,” said Julie.

“I have already looked everywhere for it,” said Cranky Bunny.

Julie searched the downstairs closet but didn’t find it. She then headed upstairs to look for it.

“It isn’t there,” said Cranky Bunny. “That was the first place I looked.”

Julie didn’t listen. She went upstairs to Cranky Bunny’s bedroom and searched in his closet.

“I found it,” said Julie. “I found your Easter suit.”

“That is impossible,” said Cranky Bunny. “I told you I already looked for it.”

“Perhaps not hard enough,” said Julie, holding up Cranky Bunny’s suit. “It was right at the back of your closet.”

Cranky Bunny took the suit from Julie and carefully checked it out.

“It is my Easter suit,” said Cranky Bunny. “Thank you very much for finding it for me.”

“You are welcome,” said Julie.

Cranky Bunny wore his Easter suit on Easter morning.

“My,” said Mother. “That is a very handsome Easter suit.”

“It certainly is,” agreed Julie.
