Spending Time with Mother

“I know Mother’s Day is coming up,” said Mother Elf, to her two children, Jason and Annie. “Things are very tight right now so I don’t want you two doing anything special for me.”

“But Mother Elf,” said Jason. “We love you and want to do something special.”

“Oh Jason,” said Mother Elf. “I know you love me. However, we don’t have much extra money right now.”

“What if we did something that didn’t cost money?” asked Annie.

“Like what?” asked Jason. “What could we do?”

“Annie does have a good idea,” said Mother Elf. “Not everything costs money.”

“We could stay in, make some snacks and watch some movies,” said Jason.

“We haven’t done that in so long,” said Mother Elf. “That sounds like a lot of fun.”

On Mother’s Day, Mother Elf, Jason and Annie spent the whole day together as a family. They had a wonderful day together. They made some homemade snacks and they watched a few movies together.

“I think that was the best Mother’s Day there ever was,” said Mother Elf, tucking her two children into bed. “It just proves we don’t always need money or expensive gifts to enjoy our loved ones.”
