True Love

It is Valentine’s Day and Happy Heart was sitting in a park in Kelowna, BC when six year old, Jessica approached her.

“What is true love?” asked Jessica.

“True love is an overwhelming feeling you get all over,” said Happy Heart. “It is a feeling like no other feeling you have ever had.”

“Oh,” said Jessica.” So, like the feeling I get when I hear my kitten purr.”

“Yes,” said Happy Heart. “That is definitely true love.”

“What gives you that feeling?” asked Jessica.

“I get that feeling on Valentine’s Day when I see everyone is happy,” said Happy Heart.

“That is a lot of true love,” said Jessica.

“Yes,” admitted Happy Heart. “It is.”

“You know what else gives me true love,” said Jessica. “Chocolate chip cookies.”

“Me too,” said Happy Heart. “And, I know where there are some freshly baked ones.”

Happy Heart went across the street to her kitchen and brought Jessica a plateful of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and a glass of cold milk.

“This is definitely true love,” said Jessica, taking a bite.

“It is,” said Happy Heart. “Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Moral of this Story:
